This one goes out to John West

John West, Hillary supporter Extraordinarre, has been and continues to be one of the most influential of all of Hillary's volunteers. So many of us call John for advice, when we need a good pep talk, or we just need a good listener. John always has an up-beat positive view and I always find that his perspective to be well-informed and on-the-money. Volunteers such as John are what make Hillary's campaign such a joy to be a part of. Thanks John!

A tip to blog infiltraters

I don't understand why people who write hateful comments on my blog on behalf of Obama think this will somehow turn all of us dedicated Hillary supporters into Obama supporters. That really is a mystery to me.
Now dear Obama supporters who have infiltrated this blog. I have a few wonderful friends who are Obama supporters and who read and comment on my blog, I suggest you take a tip from them.
Take my friend George, from Louisville, for example. George is a huge Obama supporter. I was a stranger in a strange land in my HIllary car, and George welcomed me into his home, and even kept the Hillcar safe for a week while I went back home.
I loved his views and excitement about Obama, and he loved my enthusiasm about HIllary. Our discussions about our candidates was really great, and I cherish those times.
My friends Fred and Anita are great Obama supporters. We have a great time ribbing each other and having fun with our different views. We respect each other and are the best of friends.
This is pretty basic. Leaving hateful comments does not have the effect that perhaps you are looking for. Maybe you should rethink your approach.

WWHD?

Here's the only photo I took tonight. Pretty cool, huh? Hillary's house is the 2nd one over.

It's a long story and I'll tell you sometime. Though it was the best of intentions by Hillary's family, things didn't work out as planned.
Though I was disappointed, I ask myself "WWHD"? By now we all know the answer, persevere, keep going, keep working and keep believing! Hillary CAN and WILL be our next president if we don't give up on her! It's up to us, and luckily "WE" are over half the country! Let's not ever forget our power!

Screw this!

This is a job for HILLCAR!

I'm back on the job here in DC! Gotta shine up the car and get out there!
Don't forget to check this blog later tonight! We've got suprizes in store!

Phone calling and shoe dropping

Today I am making phone calls to South Dakota. I am also waiting and wondering if the other shoe will drop and if there is indeed another shoe at all?

Here's the latest...
waiting for the other shoe to drop

I'm keeping my eye on No Quarter Blog which seems to be on the pulse!

I just got a call from Jenny Lou on the ground in South Dakota, she says we are well ahead in SD, and a little ahead in Montana!

Riding on the Metro

Here is the only pictue I took today.

I spent the day walking around Washington DC and riding on the Metro. Remember that Berlin song?
I didn't accomplish a thing. I had a 5 dollar palm reader by a "real gypsy", in hopes she would let me take her photo for the blog, but she gave me some line about what her Grandmother once told her.
I thought a lot about Hillary, and the current situation. I don't know about you, but I feel like I'm waiting for something to happen.
A DC native told me that he feels DC people have a 6th sense about these things, and that the wheel is still in spin.
I think the wheel is still in spin too.
I guess we will all just have to wait, hope, pray, and damn it... make phone calls to South Dakota!

Anonymous day

Today I'm going "Sans Hillcar" and taking the Metro into DC. I'm going to check out the Smithsonian and stuff like that.
Tonight my nephew Christian is going to take me to "The Pirate Tavern", one of his local favorite spots for grog and pirates.
Apparently everyone dresses like pirates there. Arrgh!

Disco Jeri tells him a thing or two!

As Jeri and I were leaving the Marriott this morning, Jeri approaches a distinguished looking man and begins a well-spoken conversation about how Hillary Clinton was treated unfairly to say the least. She points out that Hillary has worked hard for the Democratic party for 35 years and shouldn't be "thrown under the bus" like they are doing. As she continues making her point, the gentleman gets very distraught and they launch into an argument with each other. The conversation escalates on both sides, complete with some swearing for added spice! Jeri abruptly ends the argument by hopping into a taxi. But before she does she whispers in my ear " I'm sure glad I got to tell HOWARD DEAN a thing or two before leaving this town!"

Here is Jeri with Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones yesterday afternoon.

Meet the DC Baers

Here's the DC portion of my family, minus my brother Justin ,who away right now.
Jeannie, Lissy, Kara and Christian. All have fabulous DC lives in Govt., and or arts/media.

Lissy and Christian are involved in a annual film Festival called "The Shorties", short films done by kids and teens. We went to the Shortie awards today, so many fantastic short films done by people of the short persuasion!

Christian interviews the creator of one of the winning films.

Signs

You may have noted I didn't say a thing in last night's post about yesterday's DNC decision. I found this too disheartening to talk about. It seeems to me that there is a concerted effort to push Obama through to the nomination, regardless of anything.
I am more proud than ever to be a supporter of Hillary Clinton. Her family's easy-going ways, generousity and sense of fun are further testimony to the kind of person she is.
