Send your love to Rose Johnson

If you know Rose Johnson, or even if you don't,
please send her your love right now.

        (Self-portrait of Rose in Bali)
Rose is a beautiful, vibrant and inspiring woman. She is a great painter... one of my favorite painters actually. I've always greatly admired Rose for the free and uninhibited way she lives her life. Her paintings are a direct reflection of this beautiful creature we call Rose.
She has recently moved from Bisbee Arizona to Bali, to paint and be with her new husband.
We just received that Rose has suddenly become very, very ill.
She needs everyone's thoughts, prayers and love right now.

Please watch this video to learn more about Rose and her art....

She had some kind of stroke or aneurism. She is in a coma. No telling what will happen, and all we can do is send her our love.

Rose died of alcohol poisoning according to the newspaper in Bali.

This is so terrible and was totally avoidable.

@anonymous looks more like 'poisoned alcohol...' which is a very different situation.

I met Rose ages ago and it's a shame to hear of her passing, but it's a worse shame to see her slandered.

Nobody is trying to slander Rose. I have known her for 20 years and I have never known anyone that doesn't love her. The term alcohol poisoning has different meanings in different cultures..that is all. Everyone knows that she was poisoned by methanol. The newspapers need to call this a murder though, which is what this really is.

Though, you are correct when the American headlines use that term. It is misleading...but it certainly isn't slander. Nobody wants to hurt Rose. This is a painful time for everyone who loved her. Let's not make this even more painful by accusing people of trying to intentionally hurt. ANonymous was pointing out that it wasn't a stroke..which was the first explanation.

This is very tragic, for all of the victims, their families and friends.

They have arrested 3 men that may have something to do with this. The investigation continues. I just don't understand how they could let this happen to so many people before they figured out what was happening.
We are all suffering a tremendous loss. Rose was the picture of a creative, free spirit, BEAUTIFUL, gentle soul. She will be missed, but never forgotten. She made a BEAUTIFUL mark on this world.

@april I admit it was a reactionary response on my part; I didn't really mean to be stirring the emotional pot. It *is* tragic. Very glad to see that arrests have been made, though I fear this publicity will not lead to regulatory changes which would really prevent it again..
